Broken hearted kid and fuel system
Are the fuel pickups that mount to the tops of the tanks the original? I had a similar issue and I noticed when I pulled the pickup unit out, there was a small plastic part inside the pickup housing that dry rot/rattled loose over time and was causing issues with fuel to get from the tank, into...- born2Run83

What have you done to your square lately??
Just added/changed the stuff with Chevy bowtie over to all match with GMC logo. Put in new bench console. Installed Nitto Drag Radials in the rear.. New weatherstripping for the doors is on the way. Little by little but it's getting there.- born2Run83

It does look good I definitely agree. I recently bought a tailgate emblem and have just the blank grill on the front right now so I will dry fit that and see how it looks. What did you pay for a square
$9000 with solid 350 engine, TH350 and very very little rust. Straight body. No cut frame, was a little rough inside and needed suspension bushings. I didn’t even negotiate. Early 2021- born2Run83

Electric fuel pump question
There might be an issue with the pick up line or the unit going down into the tank itself. Removed the pickup line and source it into an external bucket of fuel to bypass the tank and see if the problem persists..- born2Run83

Fuel Pump Whining?
This whine is not a normal low key consistent humming type whine.. its like a screaching cat every 2-3 seconds. REEHHHHH...REHHHHHHHHH.....engine idle is not affected at all. and whining consistency does not change with RPM.- born2Run83

Prior to reading your post, I did this but did not have the fuel filler cap off. I blew air through the return line from the tank side. Reconnected everything, and the pump still whines. On the top/fuel sending unit (Pain fuel supply line, Return line, and open port (uncapped). is how it is...- born2Run83

I found that when I disconnect the return line from the regulator (Dump the fuel into a pan), the pump does not whine. Tank is original, I have the filler neck connected to the tank with rubber hose, and rubber vent hose connected from the side of the filler neck to the tank as well. Would the...- born2Run83
