I had to use the '87 as my Daily Driver last week because The Duramax was in the shop. The weather was typical winter rain/mist/fog nasty. I try not to drive the '87 unless the weather is nice but I didn't have a lot of choice.

Today the temps were in the mid 50s and the sun was out so my son and I gave it a real hand wash and dry.

I just finished up originally flushing, cleaning the radiator (original 1975) replacing upper and lower hoses. The radiator was worn out, I had to purchase a new radiator (Performance Radiator made in China with plastic tanks and aluminum core). The new radiator inlet is a 1/4" smaller in diameter so I had to buy a reducer, anyway after 5-6 weeks I finished it up. I don't work in weather below 55 and or windy anymore, today was 67, HURRAY!

@Grit dog why do I need tow hooks on the front? I have a hitch on the back and a chain that will connect to any Ford or Dodge. As long as the Fords and Dodges have tow hooks on THEIR front bumpers I can safely drag them out of mudholes and to the mechanic shop with no problems!

@Memaloose what is that I see in the open garage door in this pic? Inquiring minds want to know...

Reinstalled the factory bedrails after getting the end brackets back from re-chroming. I like!

Installed a new tachometer and wired it in and got it working. I really like it because its alot smaller, and the font and needle color really match the factory 80s gauges well..

Is that a factory original radio with a cassette player I see? Does it still work?

I have a very nice Retrosound in my truck but it would have been nice to be able to play the cassettes of that era...that I still have!

It is the factory original Delphi casset deck radio, yes. Sadly, no, it does not not work. I left it in, because it looks nice and fills the hole, and i wasnt going to cut a hole in the dash.
I put a new CD radio, u der the dash like a CB
.

Spent the day taking #0000 steel wool to all the bright work from the grille and touched up with the Dremel. Was lazy and only did the surfaces you'd see .

the 89-91 have the 150mmx90mm lights. the LMC kit with some trimming to the headlight bucket to fit some 9012 bulbs seems to be about the best thing going. that's what I run.

unless that's a 4x6 sealed beam. if thats the case, those LEDs are HUGE

Anybody know where I could find bed rails like this? Looked everywhere with no luck.
Found mine on eBay after a bit. Good condition but as you see I had the end brackets re-chromed. Also bought a mounting kit that had the correct gaskets and fasteners off eBay.
