Ordered both L and R bedsides for my longbed today... Mine are pretty wasted.

Not cheap.

After I get them off, I'll figure out what to do with them, someone may be a better body man than I...

Hopefully next month I can order a tailgate and something else or floorboard patches...
Man I hate to hear this. Wish you were closer. I got a tailgate no rust, works fine 1 dent. Handle isn’t even bent. I’d give it to your for a case of beer.

Spent some time wiring in new pigtails for the fuel injectors yesterday, old ones were close to becoming a fuel additive. Fortunately I own a wire harness shop so at least one part of the wiring looks nice. The only part of the original split loom in most places is where the ends were taped.
Also pulled the EGR and found that it doesn't close properly even after disassembling the nozzle and cleaning everything so perhaps that's why the off idle 'stumble'. I figured it was EGR.
Was able to watch the injectors run and they're quite drippy and sad so a pair of those too.

I’ve had a busy square body week. Took apart the holley on my ‘76 to change power valve and gaskets. Adjusted it and the timing that was much needed. Swapped out the non a/c blower motor for an a/c blower motor and fan. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Oil change, replaced the embarrassingly worn out tie rod ends with a complete tie rod from a parts truck. Fluid film undercoated the whole truck in preparation for winter. And rotated the tires that were chopping from said worn out tie rods.

Fluid filmed the 87 suburban. Fixed the wiring to one door jamb switch for the dome light and gave it a once over check.

Fixed an exhaust rattle on the ‘82, topped off all fluids and gave it a once over as well. Washed and waxed it as we are taking it to a wedding today an hour away and want it looking as good as my wife and I.

A Crane! This was a good addition to my pickup. Use it only occasionally, mostly for moving engines. I bought this cheap harper frought crane and bolted it into the bed. Handy. No issues, it does what its supposed to do. Removing the tailgate is easy if needed, but not mandatory. Also, I use a jack under the rear bumper to hold the truck up when lifting as the weight of a load can drop the truck before it lifts the load.
Wait, does that just bolt to the sheet metal of the bed floor?

New cap, rotor, and wires last night. Next, hopefully, I can get around to the door window rubber.

I fixed an exhaust “rattle” yesterday too.

And what I thought was a bad header gasket ended up being a quarter sized hole before I could get any weld to hold on one of the header tubes.
Got it boogered together. Not perty but functional.
Not complaining but this truck is a bit of a mystery with corrosion.
like the header. Not a spot of rust inside or out anywhere except one little spot had rusted through. And right by the engine not where moisture could sit. Mufflers, corrosion obliterated them both from the inside out. Not super surprising but zero rust inside the pipes. (That’s good news. Because if they were, plan B would have been cut everything off and haul it to a muffler shop with the new mufflers and old pipes in the truck bed)

Yes indeed. Both side of the framing of the bed. Heavy plates above and below the bed floor with 4 large bolts through. I think it came with angle iron for underneath the bed.

Swapped on a rebuilt q-jet and got it smogged. Now it's legal and Fall & Winter projects that require truck work can begin.

After pulling my exhaust I found two different lengths of flange bolts, 3.5" and 4.5". Should there be 2 different sizes?
