Having smoke issues with the mini square, @bucket suggested a pcv so i stopped at autozone n popped one in. Old one was pretty crusty, may even be original . Will find out tomorrow mornin if its smokin.

87 … I put a new high side AC line in cuz my old one had a bad Schrader valve and the threads on the service port were stripped too…Changed the old orifice tube while the old line was out, recharged the system and it’s blowing cold again.

Just one? LOL
I found them all on the hood and filled them and still found 3 spots that didn't block out just right! It wasn't the dings but the little high and low spots on an otherwise "straight" hood.
Buddy gives me **** because the truck is full of yellow paint pen marks. But my truck will have less missed dings than his once it's painted!

Haven't done a damn thing to mine since April. No time.

Yes I’ve fixed like 4 low spots . Funny thing! when the old dull paint original paint, it looked straight. When I started sanding ... there’s one. theres another ! It will drive you crazy.! Ive got a caster stand like you have . I built for a 1963 truck bed . There awesome! Your making headway faster than me ! Nice !

That’s one thing I’ve GOT to get done ASAP after SETN. No AC is for the birds

*4hr drive lol. Luckily I have a cloth seat, not vinyl so it’s not bad. But this is my only ride right now, so I’ve kinda gotten used to it.

Got the clutch return spring installed and completely killed my paint job. oh well, gives it character! plus its under the dash haha

Connected the clutch rod to clutch fork, tightened down the entire housing once more, and its an officiala manual! Clutch pedal felt great, feels just like my '80 with original manual. I am missing the springs that go by the fork to the frame and such, not sure where to find them, don't know how necessary they are.

Going to see a Suburban tomorrow as my parts truck, hopefully he'll take my offer. That would be the best case scenario. I'll keep you updated tomorrow!

Also my partner in crime leaning on my dad's 87 Custom Deluxe, the base for my build so far. . .

Well everyone, i got a 3rd Square Body. There's a guy in town that has a small salvage yard, had this thing since 2008 and i've seen it before. Only now did i realize that it's exactly what i need for my project. Complete under the hood with A/C and complete emissions. Interior is really nice. Rear bench seat too, should work but will need reupholstered. 2wd frame is junk, along with fuel tank. The main purpose of this '88 GMC Suburban is to switch parts to my '88 GMC Jimmy project after the PO hacked it up. Burb has everything and the way it should be so it'll be perfect reference and swapping. CLEAN TITLE TOO! 350 motor was replaced at one point, has 62,000 miles on it and a good automatic transmission. With all of the little parts i need, cheap Chinese aftermarket is not only crap but will hurt my wallet in the long run, so original GM parts is a no brainer!

Plus my dad has a '90 Chevy Suburban project and i'm sure he'll be stealing things off it!

Also @78C10BigTen, i'm afraid i won't be needing the grille as this one will do just fine. Thank you though!

So how'd i do? and don't criticize me for only using it for parts and not fixing it to run. . .

^Looks like lots of good parts to me!
At least around here, 2wd Burbs aren’t worth much at all.
Squarebody part out guy Ive bought stuff from “had” a complete running driving big block no rust 2wd 3/4 ton Burb. Good interior and everything. Total Grampa rig that only needed a paint job. He bought it cheap due to needing some (not major) repair. Said he was parting it out. I said he was nuts but if he did, I wanted the grille.
He refused to sell just the grille because he said he does way better selling complete front clips. And proceeded to chop it up.
Don’t lose any sleep over parting that thing out!
