Good afternoon,
I am still new here and this is my 2nd post.
I love the forum and find that like-minded people are best at answering questions and having experience with the same issues over and over.
So I have a 1977 c-10 4.1L 6cyl, 3 on the tree NC farm truck with 77,800 original miles.
This truck has manual brakes - front disc, rear drums, and the master cylinder is leaking.
I have purchased a power brake boosted master cylinder from Master Power Brakes in NC.
I have all the parts needed to perform a full brake restoration - drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, rotors, pads, soft lines, and hard lines.
Question is where to find a suitable manifold port to run the vacuum line from the booster?
I had a '76 model of the same truck that actually had factory power brakes. But that was back in 1986 that i owned that truck - high school.
I do see where the EFE uses a manifold vacuum port on the right rear of the intake. I wonder if I can use that and then route the EFE vacuum via a T fitting to another vacuum line off of the monojet carb? Not sure I need the EFE to work exactly as intended given the location of NC. BUT I do need the brakes to fully work as intended!
I have a photo of the EFE port (sort of hidden behind the air cleaner and a photo of the existing brake master cylinder.
Thank you for any advice you may provide.
Eddie
