89 Suburban Dashboard & A/C Ducting Removal

I attacked the dashboard yesterday during the storm. Fir off removed the screws holding the glove compartment on and remover the compartment. Mnay of the screws were either different sizes or missing, somebody defiantely had this apart before.

Dash pad came off very easy. Take the guage panel cover off, then the rest of the screws along the bottom center and bottom right od the dash board. There is also a screw on the pass side/otside of the panel.

Once the screws are removed everything comes out fairly easily:

The screw was a little loose on this cable control for the cold/hot blend door:

Look at this connection of the deffrost duct to the heater housing, how the phuk is that working?????

It doesn't match. I don't get it....

Side mounting bolts of the steel part of the dash, 2 on each side. Front lip of the metal dash disappears under the windshield:

Cleaned up the dash, removed the vents and ducting, re-assembled. Still have to go back ans seal that defrost duct to the heater housing. And continue on with my vent mod plans....

I need some ideas Retro. Storage on teh left vent. Tach on the left center vent. (Preferably an old Sunpro LED unit ), iPod dock. power source and speaker jack on the center right vent, ad a cupholder or storage on the right vent.
