Since the electric fan and intake install, the latest MPH calculation is 15.2 for daily work commute while running the AC. It will be interesting to see if the MPH improves any with a custom tune.

still no tune on mine, but with the build I was looking for mpg, hp, and tq increases. I've given up on the mpg cuz I'm having too much fun with it. My k10 kept up with a mustang at a red light the other day ...yes it was a 5.0 manual lol....I'm happy :). Once I saw the 45 mph sign I had to let off lol.....we were doing 75.

Good point. I have driven the 77 over 12k miles now and it’s running great. Think I will leave well enough alone for now and concentrate on more pressing tasks like ball joints or paint.

My oldest son and I took the 77 to a local car show yesterday. It’s always fun looking at and talking cars with him. Also enjoy talking to folks about the LS swap. Even had a couple guys ask if I would do swaps for them. Not sure if I want to step off into that mess right now, too close to deer season.

Well, I hope I haven't bit off more than I chew. Broke down and ordered an HP Tuners MPVI2 and AEM wideband O2 set up. Found a like minded coworker that does tuning on the side who is willing to work with me on tunes for the 77 and my wife's Yukon. Looking forward to learning the tuning side of the LS experience.

Everyone I have spoke to about tuning recommends a wide band. Gives real time air fuel ratio for more acupuncture tuning. Will find out for sure soon.

It’s pretty easy, wideband is definitely the way to go for tuning, look up goat rope garage on YouTube, he’s got some really good videos on tuning and he’s always down to help out a bit

I got my wideband logging into my hptuners threw a serial data port connector, really cheap way of doing it instead of doing the pro version

Been busy with work, so no working on the truck lately. I have been watching lots of YouTube videos including goat rope garage. Lots of info there. First thing I need to do is install the wideband.

A buddy of mine just picked up this 77 heavy half. It looks just like the 78 Big 10 my dad had when I was in high school. Looking forward to watching what he does with this truck.
