The cold air set up was ordered from Amazon. Blackhorse racing cold air intake for a 2005 Silverado. Will also need a Spectre 9741 4" to 3.5" coupler.

Since the electric fan and intake install, the latest MPH calculation is 15.2 for daily work commute while running the AC. It will be interesting to see if the MPH improves any with a custom tune.

Oh dang I try to order that one a while ago but since I live in California amazon won’t send it lol so I was thinking of doing an eBay one, definitely get it tuned you’ll be surprised the difference, I bought hp tuners and just been playing with my tune

Amazon wouldn't send it? That's interesting. Once I get the 77 tuned, I want to get an HP tuner as well.

That commute would suck at 15.2 MPH

Took the 77 out to deer camp today to check cameras. Sure was nice to be able to run the AC and have it stay cold while crawling threw the woods. The 2002 Camaro fans are working perfectly.

My sons baseball team fundraiser allows high school drivers to decorate there own dedicated parking spots. I am guessing this is my sons. ;)

One year ago today the 77 5.3 swap cranked up for the first time. Over the last year I have put over 12k on it relatively trouble free. Since being back on the road it has been a rolling work in progress. Still have lots of work to do.

I used the 05 truck fan control harness because its available for $20. Was going to build one, but this was easier.

nabbed mine with the harness when we pulled it out of the '06 truck. works like a charm. I like the fact that if I need a fan relay, I can stop in at local places and get one.

Brakes started feeling spongy a few days ago so it’s time for a new master cylinder. For some reason the new one was quite a pain to bench bleed but persistence pays off. Pedal feels great and truck stops a ton better.

A buddy of mine just picked up this 77 heavy half. It looks just like the 78 Big 10 my dad had when I was in high school. Looking forward to watching what he does with this truck.

My latest thoughts have been directed towards either a full paint job or just clear coat what I have. I would clear coat without hesitation but there are a couple areas in the paint have cracked and chipped. Obviously not factory paint.
