Hopefully this is the right spot, I have looked for any forums about this issue but havent seen any. My 1981 chevy k10 has intermittent window wipers and well driving they go off randomly no pattern or anything just will randomly start going well driving. Anyone have any idea of what is causing this issue and how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

My first thought is a bad intermittent delay module under the dash.
I'll have to check that out completely possible that that's all it is thanks for the info

My 81 GMC does the same thing, and the delay function has a mind of its own. I’m getting ready to swap in a later column and wiper motor. That will put the wiper switch on the turn signal lever, and give me a reason to install cruise control

FIRST, go under the dash at the steering column and that's where you'll find the module. Unplug the module at both ends and mate the 2 connectors. Save the module.
If you have any more weird wiper problems then the problem(s) is/are with the motor.

The wiper switches aren't the best and sometimes do go bad but not as often as the module.

At the present, I don't believe anyone has figured out how to troubleshoot the module.
I could be wrong here.

Another thing to check is the wiper motor to ground electrical connection.

Im believing mine to be the switch as it wont come on in the delay function but if i just hair touch it they will... but im still trouble shooting the no squirter though.. as for the illusive module i have a spare on hand for back up.
