It looks like your big socket is the specialty tool for the spanner nuts that hold on the front hub in the chevy trucks and some other pickups were listed also. Like other brands.

Full Floater rear ends actually use a socket similar too. But I never use one. I tap it with a screw driver. Its usually not very tight.

Yep, it's a socket for the locknuts in the front axle of K10s and K20s.

Having a quality spindle nut socket is very important. The second (lock) nut takes a lot of torque and a cheap socket will often let go, just before the required amount of torque. Punching the ground is no fun
