Yeah, I need to get over there and get on that. Just seems like no matter what we do, it doesn't want to get the back brakes to work.

Does it have a rear load sensing valve? Look at the diff and see if it has a small arm connected to what looks like a prop valve with brake lines running to it. I'll bet if it has one, it's failed.

Yep, I was gonna say, the load leveling valve is on 84-88 3/4 and 1 tons. Bypass that ****. It's legal to do so, and GM even reccomends it. Chegny I think it was posted a TSB about that.

It appears not ALL 84-88 got that load sensing arm. My 86 C20 didn't get it.

Got to replace the master cylinder and bleed the brakes so I can move it outside for better pics. Complete rewire and Dakota VHX gauge install up next.

Edit: I should have look at the C20 picture too...

You'll be looking for the hard lines. There should be a hard line coming off the frame that runs over to the load sensing valve, and then another hard line off of that that runs over to the rubber hose on the diff.

I love the look of the engine compartment. So nice to see the OE look for a change.

It's very easy to work around. You'll see the hard line coming in. That's the line you want to connect up to the rubber line that goes to the tee. All you are doing is getting around the valve.

This is probably another project we need to have it's own thread so that it doesn't get lost in the What did you do to your ... thread. Just do what you do, and I'll transfer it over.

I have another question about this. Do you have the Full Floating rear end, or do you have the Semi Floating axle???

I'm wondering what the difference is and why my 86 C20 doesn't have this get up. My 84 and 85 C20 both have it but they both also have the Semi Float rear axle, and my 86 has the Full Float.
