I'd think the gas would be bad by now, right?

I don't know...

I drove a 1985 Fiero out of a bean field where it sat for 5 years, ran some 91 through it and change the filter. Drove it to California and back not too long after.

oh yea it sucks when you get it in your mouth, my old man drank seom from a beer can once. Had a beer and had a can with gas in it to prime the old 76 chevy we had, dumped some down the carb and then grabbed the wrong can. He was spitting and cussin' ran to the bathroom. My buddy and I didn't know whether to laugh or be scared, he came back out and said hah very funny motherf'rs, then we told him we didn't know whether to laugh or call 911, he said wait until I stopped running around and when they ask what happened tell em I ran out of gas. We rolled laughing after that one.

Hahaha.

Dont risk it, I ran that 15 year old gas through my engine and it caused some ****. Everything was covered in the most sticky nasty tarnish you could imagine. That is the reason I had to rebuild my carb twice, it got some of the nasty **** run through it. Worse thing is the intake valves getting stuck, I know thats why they stuck. Had the valves just rusted and seized in the guides from sitting so long at least one exhaust valve would have been siezed.

I thought about dumping 2 bottles of stabilizer down in the tank then bouncing the truck around and beat the fuel tank if with hammer to see if the fuel pump will get unfroze.

My cousin from Michigan showed me "Detroit style" syphoning...take about 6 feet of hose, feed it into the tank as far as you can, put your thumb over the end and quickly pull about 3 feet of the hose out and down then take your thumb off. If you do it right you'll have a foot or 2 of gas in the hose past the highest point and it will automatically start the syphoning process.

I'll have to try that.

My C2500 1990 has half tank in it that's 4-5 years old with 2 gallons of that 3 years old. I last tarted it back in November 2010 before that was November 2009. Thinking the cold temperatures could have frozen the fuel pump.

stabilizer won't do a thing, it tells your right on it...

helps keep fresh gas fresh.

doesn't bring old gas back.

Now some of that start your engines stuff might but you'd need probably 5 gallons of it. it cuts thru gunk and varnish to open fuel passages and let it flow, says it's good for seasonaly usage and stuff. if you got a good jack and stands, drop the tank, stay clear of it and let it come down on the jack and/or stands then work on it.

Never heard of that start your engine. I'm gonna try pump it out with a drill pump.

uuumm I don't know about that one a drill usually electric has a spark inside it and that's not good around gas. I know cordless drills and such you can see a spark sometimes, like a flash.

Yea it's new seen it advertise on tv a couple times for the last couple years. Not sure if it's bring the gas back or not, says it cuts the gum and varnish to let fuel flow and boosts the octane. I need some for my atv the gas has been in it since year before last, that was the fresh stuff I put in but had some year or two old in it then. if not I'm gonna have to drain and clean it all.

As for the FP not working see if it's getting power, or energize the FP test port in the diagnostic plugin aldl thing give it 12 volts and see if it comes on, if not maybe hit the tank a few times and/or check the relay and fuses.

If you mix a little of the bad gas in with an almost full tank of good gas you will be alright. You get rid of it slowly but surely and not waste 30 gallons.

All I hear is clicking noise when turning the key forward. As far as the drill I'll use one of those cheap ow powered black and decker cordless drills.

still just make sure the thing don't spark or flash when you hit it or use it. I know I got a black and decker cordless and plugin and both have the flash.
