Has anyone ever tried to put a 78-79 Z-28 scoop on a square body hood? I want a custom look that’s different (I will never install a cowl hood). I’m not sure if the curve down to the front will work on a flat hood and I believe they are fiberglass and not flexible.

Neat idea. I've seen the L88 vette scoop on lots of other cars but never seen the tear drop scoop swapped before. I don't think the camaro hood has much of a bend to it, chances are you could finesse it into place.

The scoop is SMC, but that also is not flexible.

What year hood are you wanting to mount one on? Either way, I don't think the curvature will play nicely. It could, but I just don't think it will.

And this is just an opinion, but I think it would look too small and out of place on a giant truck hood.

I want to see it as hood scoop. Especially the other one. I've seen a car someone did it to.Thought it was creative and hilarious, unfortunately did not get a pic.

Why not the shorter version of this? Or one of the flat square bolt on style ones for a mustang or similar. I've seen old metal mailboxes and the plastic paper boxes made into scoops.

I love how "idiot" flew under the radar on this one!
