I really don't care for the washers being attached to the wipers on my 88 Jimmy. I am thinking of trying to change them to a mounted sprayer that covers more of the windshield. Has anyone tried this already? I would like to gather knowledge on the subject. Thanks.

LMC has "generic" washer posts on their site. I have no experience with them.

My 86 has the bug juice nozzles hard mounted to the cowl as well.
OP, I'd think you could source them off of any number of trucks in a junkyard for about $1. Or purchase new.

I've been thinking about this since one of mine is broken. As long as I don't have to stare at a nozzle mounted to the hood (or cowl) I think I would be OK with the above posted kind.

They do not protrude above the cowling behind the hood.
