I just pulled a windshield from an '80 and put into my '82 last Fall. I cleaned the existing gasket and made sure all the old bedding compound was removed from the cab and then done the "rope trick". Had it installed in just a few minutes although it took longer to put in the lock ring. I've never installed the gasket first like they did in the video. Maybe I'll try that on the next one.

All you need. If you buy gasket from precision they send the green stick with it at no cost.

Yeah, I couldn't find my green stick when I did my last one. Technically, my stick is white though, I got it from a glass shop in South Hill, VA. Anyway, I was still able to make due with just a wooden paint stick and some glass cleaner to install the lock strip.

And a 5gal bucket full of 4 letter words. And some glass cleaner for lube. And a whole lotta luck
Fck, we had to go dump the bucket half way thru!
Actually. Me and my son give it a couple hours and just stopped and tried again the next day. Couple more hours and it was in. But I thought it might break several times.
Went in just like the videos but holy hell was it tight.
I was using soap water, spray wax, window cleaner, even a dab r 2 of dielectric grease to get the top corners in. Not sure which worked better but I was throwing the kitchen sink at it!
Didn’t use any sealer on the pinch weld or the windshield. Dunno how I could have without having it get everywhere. But it don’t leak at all.
