Windshield washer motor questions

My washer pump has never worked. I took the reservoir off the other day and used alligator clips to the battery and the pump works windshield wipers work, but pump won’t turn on from the switch. I really don’t want to take my steering wheel off to get into the switch, but I’m assuming it’s the switch.

You should be able to test at the column harness connector under the dash.
