Your color looks similar to mine, which in 1980 was called Camel.

Your paint also appears to be better than mine ...

Looks like the same color combo my dad had on his 75 Jimmy when I was a kid. It's been so long that I can't be 100% sure, but it was damn close if not the exact same. Don't see too many of them, but I have seen a few K5s in that color, can't specifically remember seeing other pickups but obviously there's some out there. It looks good I like it.

I think one of the more interesting options is the Pearl vinyl interior.

Still has door panels and trim the pearl vinyl. Seat probably was too but was reupholstered by PO. The dash cover is black and I am guessing it is original. I had headliner replaced with newer material as near the pearl color as I could get, not with original material though.

My square is also an unusual color. I haven't seen it before I bought the truck and only once on a 4x4 step side. Saddle metallic.

Yeah well, you said it. TX is full of unusual things, like people for example. :happy175:

People are unusual to find in OK ?

Never cease to learn new things here - please carry on !

I had one just like that. Although mine was originally dark brown and repainted the dark green.

My GMC repair manual has information on the variable ratio power steering option, which is also one of the options on my K25. The large gears inside the box have variable spacing on the teeth, which give a slightly different ratio as you turn the wheel from lock to lock. IIRC, they are wider spacing toward the middle, and then get narrower to the outside. Based on the info I could find, the ratio is about 16:1 in the middle, and then goes to about 13:1 toward the outside.
