Ya maybe it is but why at Edlbrock is the model that looks exactly like mine says air gap performer?

2 things here. It is different. Look close, notice NO EGR port or Choke heater provisons, and there is voids under the plenum that appear to be shadows in the pic. #2, Many times what you'll see in a catalog like this is a stock photo. If they were to photo every exact intake, they'd have to change their format. Now Summit does photo everyone in their format and why I went there instead of Edelbrok.

:waytogo: Not smarter, just maybe more experienced. I've been playing with autos for a long time.

I think some air gap intakes have the metal pan underneath without the opening like Hotrod was talking about. It's just an insulating pan to keep the fuel/air charge cooler. But if you found the model # it is what it is. Hate to see cracked aluminum like that, even though it's an NPT thread it doesn't mean you need to put King Kong torque on it, just some pipe dope or teflon pipe thread tape.
