Where did all the 4x4s go?

There was a time when that was my mentality also. As I’ve gotten older, my use has changed. I still have a 4x4, for snow and such, but I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a nice 2wd, Silverado trimmed 87 shortbed. It would make a sweet cruiser/hauler for stuff. Stock stance of course, and got to have the rally’s. Oh and AC, that’s more important than 4x4 lol.

if anyone is looking: I have a 1986, 3/4 ton RWD camper special....
With A/C converted to 134a.
...you can put a shorter bed on it,...but the 8 foot leaves more room for your stuff.

ready to park next to anyone's corvette, and give synergistic coolness.

(108,000 miles, 350 / 3 speed trans, 4.10 gears,
not restored,...drives just like 1986)

And yet, you took the aftermarket AC off of the brown truck, lol. But I know you can be indecisive too... like your bumper/light/brush guard combos I was always teasing you about

Yea but see it didn’t work, so there’s that. No way I’d ever remove factory original AC. That was also 10 years and 60 pounds ago, priorities have shifted lol.

If you wanted to sell it, presume it’s not rusty, you could get good money for it in a minute up there in the NE.

its got its potential to be something great for a family restoration and make it fancy again, or just to enjoy as is as a sunny weekend cruiser. plenty big for making dump runs for dropping off / ...and picking up.

I don't think any of the previous owners used it much at all in winter,...as it would have been parked next something with 4wd to get abused.
(I have never owned an antique anything before this year,...everything I have ever had should have been tossed to the scrap pile by the 20th year).

just looking for the right corvette owner.

well. ...someone with a garage to put any vette in,
may have room and disposable income to keep a RWD 40 year old antique next to it. (...so a RWD V8 pickup = like a Vette, but with enough room to easy move furniture/ appliances... and has a bench seat for all benefits).

Seating for more than two at least, and cargo space for something bigger than a bag of golf clubs.

There does seem to be an odd connection between Corvettes and Squares. Several people here have both. I never had any desire to own a Corvette, yet here I am with a Corvette. Go figure.

But I'm definitely not taking up golf.

OK, so I'm a Corvette owner(63coupe), a Chevelle owner(70LS6), a 66 ChevyII(SS clone) and a 56 Nomad owner (under construction). Along with my 75K20(bought new June 1975). I am the lucky owner of all of these simply because my Bride is one HELLUVA money manager. We have NO "disposable" income, it is all earmarked for specific purposes......living expenses(nothing elaborate), SAVINGS, etc. It all boils down to YOUR own PRIORITIES!!!!!!!!.......and my K20 sometimes sets outside, NOT next to my Corvette......also I have never had the opportunity to use my bench seat for all the "benefits" in your post ........unfortunately....lol
