I have it by accident, traded a truck (late Pa's ferd) for it. Bumpers are as rare as hens teeth, or more so. Bein how Pa was a racer before he was Pa, thinking about building my first race car, dirt track, with it. Torn, as much as I want to, I don't want to do it to the old car.
Let me know.

Thanks Guys

Shakey

Will post pictures in another post, if I can get my phone to act right??

IIRC, OPG should have the parts, I think they are the same as the Malibu's. Great project though. 73?

They do not, that I could find. For Chevelle, Malibu or El Camino

It looks solid in the pictures and in pretty good shape overall, other than the missing trim and bent bumpers. If it can run and drive, it must be worth several grand at least?

The trim is in the bed. Runs good, few issues with driving it, that steering column is going to suck!! Only other tilt auto column I have has the same problem.

Edit to add. Why I'm asking, In real good original shape I see them asking 12 to 15K, don't know if there selling or not.
This one with bent bumpers, sorry non original paint, rino lining in the bed. It is straight and solid, no bondo that I have found. Starting some rust on the right rear. If(?) may be a big IF I can get the steering column repaired, the little things sorted out to tag and sticker it, is it worth 5000? more? less? Asking, knowing how trades work and that one unicorn that HAS to have a GMC Sprint may or may not come along.... prob NOT, lol.

Oh, and an aftermarket dash, that don't really fit.

Bumpers can easily be stripped, straightened, and rechromed for around $300-500 each if need be. You may need to travel to find a bumper shop and skip the triple chrome show job. The standard chrome is better than new.

$15,000 gets you a pretty nice car at barret Jackson.
I paid $1200 for my 73 with blown engine.
The 73-77 bumpers are everywhere..they are indestructible.
Whoever did the chrome plating..did a fantastic job.
The bumpers are still shining brightly as the rest of the car is Swiss cheese.
Look harder.

The chrome plating today is junk.
The EPA has strict rules.
Original 73-77 bumpers are 50 years old and most still look good.
GM spent millions on designing those 5 mph bumpers..were made to outlast the cars..which they have!
