My first?

My first car was a '79 Ford Courier pickup. It had a blown head gasket and about 250k miles on it when my dad and I put a new head gasket on. It was his dad's new and we literally kept passing it down until the wheels fell off at 298k. I bought my first vehicle shortly after that Courier gave up the ghost in my friends driveway. I had gone to her house to help her family clear part of their land, and out of this mountain of brush emerged a '78 F250 Highboy. $400 later and 3 bottles of simple green (to clear 8 years of moss and mold of the windows) it was mine. Learned a lot in that truck, about wrenching and about life. Sure do miss it, even if it was on fire the last I saw of it.

Mine was a 55 five window (early series) bought it for $300 in Ga., cleaned the gas tank, lines, carb, fixed the brakes and drove it back to Knoxville. I was 16. Jeesh, that was forty years ago. Wish I still had it.

Mine was an 81 Oldsmobile Omega that my parents bought when they found out they were having me. It was a tank. Only things there were ever replaced on it were the valve cover gaskets and alternator. It had about 150k on it when I finally sold it and bought a new s10.

My first was a 1971 Lincoln Continental. Ended up scrapping it as o could not afford a 460 for it. Never even drove it. Next was a 77 Rabbit and that was the start of a love hate relationship with VW.

Was that a racial joke?
If so it wasn't at all funny
I'll hold my tongue in hopes you made a mistake.

I'm hoping he was referring to squinting and trying to see out the double 5% tint.

I realsised after i posted that, that not everyone laughs at the same jokes. I have freinds that are into japanese vehicles and they are layosian or however its spelt, and they joke around with me about it, Im sorry if it offended you, i just forgot that we dont always find the same joke funny.

Can someone clean this part of the convo up please.
