According to the reviews on Amazon, they're about 3 inches too short for our trucks.

I'm of the opinion that if you aren't allowed to close the door with the straps, why have the straps?

I've always pulled the door closed with the straps. They are handy and useful for that purpose. Just don't pull DOWN on them and everything is peachy.

The door straps were useful on those land yachts with the 200lb doors. I think the design just carried over into the trucks, where it probably shouldn't have, because they appear to be decoration. You can shut the door easily just using the door handle. In the armrest.
