Because of rust I purchased patch panels for both doors on my 1982 C-10. For the drivers side door I had to order interior door panel because of extreme rust. The companies I called would not guarantee the gauge of their sheet metal. When I received the door skins I discovered they were very flimsy. When I went to the body shop, I was quoted $500 per door, ready for paint. I asked the body shop was it easier just to get the complete door skin for both doors and I was told it was more expensive to go that route. I talked a neighbor and he suggested buying CAPA certified doors would probably be better deal. Anyone have any success ordering CAPA certified doors for a square body? Also thoughts on welding verse gluing patch panels? I would just like a solid direction. This is not going to be a show truck, but a nice solid restomod.
