What new tools have you got lately?

My corded hand-held, 20+ year old Black & Decker drill and bits have disappeared in my many moves to different duty stations over the years. I have been able to borrow same from some helpful friends. Decided I wanted to be more self sufficient in the drill department so I bought myself an early Christmas present. A Milwaukee M12, 1/2 inch drill/driver and some KnKut drill bits. Now I feel better...

Picked up a set of good old gas cans. Mainly went for the double can(bonus points for anyone that knows what it's for or called) but he had a bunch of good old cans and they were cheap, spent $27.

I’d guess the double can is for 4-cycle mower gas for the big tank and 2-cycle gas/oil for the weed eater for the smaller tank.

Not a new tool, but one of the tools to have, and hope you don't have to use it. Walton tap extractor, need the match for the broken tap. Needs to match the size and fluke count.

Not a bad idea. But would only be somewhat efficient for a homeowner, you'd be filling it up a lot lol.

It's a chainsaw can! Called a dolmar, small side is bar oil, big side is fuel.

Typically used in the forest industry, better for smaller jobs for non logging operations, or like mountain logging, woodland firefighters.

We just called them saw cans, but we used to use them in logging, mixed saw gas on the big side, and bar oil on the small side.

Hadn’t seen one in years, as tree cutters and de-limbers are used, so very few saws are used anymore in the woods here in SW Mississippi

I have bought various cans from 1990-now.
I bought a can in walmart a few weeks back. nice without bullsh;t -except the factory spout has locks on it that need to be held open...so sucks while holding a full 5 gallon can like a dog p;ssing over a briar,

so put some aftermarket spouts on it, so don't have to put up with any stupid locks etc when all I want to do is dump it or siphon out of it. spouts:

(plain old plastic without screens is nice when dealing with vehicles and siphoning into or out of them. I actually bought those spouts and this siphon

when I wanted to empty the full tanks out of this 1986 gmc,...last owner had them filled from years ago, and the brakes were seized when I got it....so I burned up all that "old gas" in my other newer vehicles with seafoam added to ward off the old funk). Needed to fish the pickup hose around a bit, but able to draw the saddle tanks down below a quarter, and then add some new gas for driving around).

still using my father's eagle safety can though. made in like 1950??

to haul them in anything I put them in a plastic box to catch any drips from the pump/ spout / loose gasket. ...a square bottom plastic box also makes it easier to ratchet strap them down so they don't wiggle around . I use old 4 gallon milk crates for 20 gallon BBQ propane bottles, ...which fits right into a milk crate to make it stable vs. tippy.

Well, I didn’t steal it like @legopnuematic did but for $34 it was still a good deal. My store wasn’t doing the extra 50% off. Great little kit though, tossed it right behind the backseat of the NBS

This one is a lang, says made in the USA. Like $35 on summit.

Mainly for kneeling on the ground, but it also works great for laying on the core support or over a fender. Quick creeper and you can keep one in your truck pretty easily.

I have had a foam mat for 24 years. I learned from the cheapest tech I ever worked with. You get them at dollar tree in the garden section . They are for gardeners kneeling to weed their plants. I get them at dollar tree
