My middle son got his learner’s permit, and besides the family minivan, has now talked me into driving the dually and my Lexus :D Just look at that grin; worth the price of admission just for that!

Me and the boys took the square trout fishing today; that’s been a long time in the making!

Got the wood sides off, the homemade headache rack, then the drop in plastic bed liner. Then I took what was left off of it and remove the lift cylinder and pump. Pressure washed it then gave the Rochester some tune up in a can, put some fuel in the tank and on the second turn of the key I was jumping for joy. Now to get the cab floors and doors fixed and play with my new to me truck while I fix everything else.

Impatient as usual, so I went for it since I really want to get this back together because I have parts spilled all around my property. I still need to paint a little under the hood so I am leaving the paper until that’s completed. I had this paint leftover from the z28 project 30 years ago. This blue looked awesome on that car. The blue stripes look okay for my 20 footer.
Can't wait to see the finish Brother!

So back with the truck. OBD1 is reading code 21.
I was initially planning to redo the torx up 1/4 turn but not sure since code 21 is TPS malfunction. Typically this means idling high from what my research has shown.
The truck is running great after the most recent adjustment but service engine light is coming on after the initial idle down and staying on, and that's bothering me.
Should I try to adjust the TBI torx screw again? I do not have a light to read RPM's or an auto meter currently. Or should I begin looking for another TPS? This would be the 2nd TPS I install on this truck, and I have heard some aftermarket ones are garbage from the start.

I went ahead with my initial plan to adjust idle again. When the IACV was unplugged I adjusted the torx in the TBI up a quarter turn. Plugged in IACV then disconnected the battery for 5 minutes.
Reconnected the battery and fired her up. It starts the same. I drove it. It is driving great, but as before, the service engine light is on after ignition drops idle.
