Ya don't forget the filler knecks attached to your tanks are also attached to your box!

What about lights? Maybe I need to crawl under and look. After I rebuild my carb this weekend in going to see about getting my drivers tank functional. Tank looks good from what I can see...

Theres probably not a whole lot of room with the wiring either.

In hoping it is easy, like bad dash switch. The tank/filler/vent all look really good.

POR 15? 1 quart does one coat by brush on full frame and a little extra. Its always a good idea to prep as many parts as possible so that you maximize your can of POR 15.

I use Marhyde (One Step) which is similar.... but it goes on clear and turns black if it touches rust. Never used POR 15

is marhyde a rust converter ?

Por 15 is a non porous paint/coating that etches to the metal. Can be had in black, grey and silver, they have other products too like chassis coat which is a top coat for POR 15 and is very similar to a factory matt black finish.

The por15 metal prep completely dissolves the rust leaving you with bare metal. I have used it before but never on so much area

Yes, Marhyde is a rust converter.... I use it because that's what I was taught to. Not because I know why. I've been mostly around race cars and rat rods. I'm not much into shiney. I get twitterpated around rusty stuff.... old guys beware.

I think most rust converters are pretty similar. I use rust mort. Any way That is a good step before painting or coating with POR 15.

POR 15 is more of a full restoration type product, good for rusted areas and fully cleaned to metal pieces. I have a new frame that im gonna coat with POR 15 after I finish cleaning it down to the metal. Its a lot easier with no body on it :)

Heres some pics of some inner fenders I did. I forgot to take a pic of them coated in POR 15. The after pic is a coating of POR 15 top coated with their Chassis Coat.

Installed new door panels and arm rest. Had to make a new trim section to go around the brushed aluminum panel the old plastic ones were shot.
