For a GM Truck OE wheel, that is my Favorite. There are some aftermarkets I like though. I do have one of those on the 85 K10 with Chevrolet Horn Center Cap, and I also have a GMC horn centercap and another bare 4 spoke wheel around somewhere that is for the 85K1500, but can't find it. I think it's in the back of the K10 out at my dads. I hope it is anyway.

Swapped my quadrajet for a Jet quadrajet rebuild from Summit. Pulled the EGR and plugged some vacuum lines. Truck runs kick ass......I'll tune it a bit and flush the coolant tomorrow.

Chrome tip on the single exhaust. Probably good for another 10 HP out of the 305

That's a conservative guesstimate. I was thinking closer to 15.25 hp increase.

Lol, I sawed a couple of those off my Impala. Never liked those things... you want a pair?

Today I changed the oil in the C10, put in 10w/40 and a bottle of Lucas. It still has a lower end noise :sad72:

And it just might run forever with that bottom end noise too. Bad part is, it's hard to live with #1, especially if you're as picky as me. #2 when it becomes more prominent, it'll likely just let loose without much warning.

Are you thinking it's a rod bearing? Could it be a wrist pin or is it lower than that? How is the warmed up oil pressure? Could it be the crank thrust is worn and the crank is walking a bit?

It's not going to last. I first had trouble last week after being stuck in a traffic jam for an hour, when I got backup to speed, I could hear rods hammering whenever on the throttle. It had calmed down by the time I got home, but you can still hear a light knock in the oil pan, especially on a cold start.

The oil pressure gauge doesn't work right, but it works good enough to know that there is at least some pressure. Oh, and oil consumption has skyrocketed too. Normally needs a quart every few weeks, but today it wasn't even showing on the stick... I topped it off last week.

try three quarts of lucas and 2 quarts of 20w50

I'm just going to run it until it blows. The trans has just about lost reverse, so it needs replaced too. On Wed evening I'm going to pick up a 5 speed for my buddy's Camaro, which means I can pull the rebuilt 700r4 out of it (the Camaro) and put it in my truck along with a 350 and a 3.42 rear axle. I'll get more pep and better mpg too.

Changed the oil, and fixed the Y-pipe mounting to my new manifold. The new springs are so stiff, I couldn't compress them and get the nut started when I first put it on. I ended up putting them in the vise, compressing them, and then wire tying them so they would stay compressed. Slit it up the stud, put the washer on, started the nut, and cut the wire. Voila! Done.

It's SO nice cruising in pieace and quiet. No more exhaust leaks, all new door seals, fresh oil, fixed blinkers, fixed horn, newer steering wheel, etc. This truck is really starting to get nice! :driver:
