Buddy made me a gauge holder to test fit for the ash tray. Gonna end up putting the transmission gauge there instead of removing the clock.

Marshmallow from a box of Lucky Charms?
Oh, I wish ! :p That is where the cable for the shift indicator connects to the trolley. The cable came loose yesterday and during my reattach attempt that happened. Thanks to the aftermarket DIN radio that is mounted to the bezel :321:by the PO or whomever dash work sucks. I guess it is a good time to replace the broken left side ac vent which I conveniently forgot about until 20 minutes or so AFTER I placed the indicator order with LMC.

That's an 11 dollar shipping mistake. :dancingpoop:

But you are fine (I think) with some generalizations... Like, "boobs are good". Lol.
Now, that's a glittering generality I can get behind, er, in front of, er, well, yeah. Breasticles are the besticles.

Dont look like much but I found a great body shop that fixed my roof skin. I randomly found this place - stopped in and his name sounded familiar. Asked him if he knew a friend of mine (died in a house fire not far from this shop a couple years ago) and he did - he was the one my friend always talked about working on his truck. We BS'd for an hour - I started to leave then remembered why I stopped there in the first place. Duh. Asked him about my cab - he stopped by that day to look at it in my garage then came with a trailer and picked it up. Fixed it (plus some extra work I didnt expect) then brought it back.

Got the cab lights mocked up - bet I measured and double checked those hole positions 30x each before reaching for the drill. Located the fish wire I ran up the a-pillar when the roof skin was off. Got 2 seams to seal and going to transfer the holes for the drip edge.....then its sealer and paint time.

What’s up everyone. Been a minute, BUT I am about to drop the th350 out and get the 700r4 stabbed in. Just need to unbolt the cross member and get the jack in place.

I ended up buying a 2qt larger pan for it, and a temp sensor that replaces the clock and looks like the oem gauges. I was originally planning to remove the fuel gauge and put a tack there and small fuel gauge. But I wanted a trans temp gauge. I also have a derale trans cooler on the way. Trying to do all I can to make this transmission last!

temp gauge is a auto meter 8349 gm factory match gauge, also have a auto meter 2892 z series pedestal tach on the way. Not sure where I’m gonna mount it yet. But will figure that out when it gets here.
where did you put the sender for the gauge? In line, trans port? sorry for confusion.

Ah in the transmission pan. I bought the derale pan and it had a spot on the side for it. Right below where the transmission lockup plug is.

Seemingly endless amount of rust removal, trying to slow down what can't be removed, paint prep and identifying dings.

I know it's a personal preference, but what do you all think of leaving off the cab wrap trim. I'd love to grind down those nubs below the back window and just go minimalist. Is that a crazy idea?
