I was working in the auto parts industry when and where Autozone began doing business. It was a "known" thing that they were part of Walmart although they publicly denied it, and Walmart is known in inside circles as engaging underhanded practices. Of the three local auto parts stores in Bentonville as Autozone opened... two had suspicious fires that closed them down and the other had an attempted arson. They don't prioritize good counter people, they prioritize sales. I don't buy from them.
Are you talking now or years ago?????? My Autozone people are fairly good at what they do, so I don't particularly like you lumping the whole business into one. In other words don't talk sh!t if you don't know it for a fact!!!

Oh... sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Pretty obviously all corporations and all individual parts stores (and individual counter persons) have differences. I suppose it's possible that some AZ somewhere has competent personnel. But as an average I'll stick with my (informed) assessment.

Oh yeah, the gray rtv! Good idea! I'll go drain some coolant and clean up. Thx
I originally used an aluminum fitting, then a steel, should I just pooky the aluminum one up with the rtv? No automotive has brass near me. Opinions?

You can't hurt my feelings, I'm too jaded for that BS.I just don't like generalizations that shouldn't pertain to everyone and everything. Just glad you are so "informed"

But you are fine (I think) with some generalizations... Like, "boobs are good". Lol.
