I wanted a brown color but the 81 color was kinda flat and no sparkle. I found this color and it has enough pop/color flop . I am very pleased and anxious as hell.
But -5 degrees and anywhere from 3-12 inches of snow this weekend depending on which weather turd you listen to.
Its best its in the body shop
The 81 color is more root beer, little bit more red in it. I think this is the 79-80 metallic brown, or a close color. When the 78 Sierra shop truck got wrecked at 1 year old, we had a 79 Silverado long bed in that brown metallic, with the cream colored top and side panels, plus the hood with the multi color stripes, for that summer as a rental truck. Then our 79 Burb was that same combo...very popular combo those years.

It's just too darn cold to do anything to the old girl, so maybe I'll just dust her off this weekend.
I hear ya...mine got a much needed rinsing during the rain/sleet yesterday and this morning. Too cold to do anything to it even though I need to..... My neighbor Paul went out and ran his Caprice this morning; she didn't want to start and stay running real well. On cold damp mornings like this, I do not miss carburetors....

Comparison of the version 2 vs V1. Designed so the screw will activate the switch and the detent spring is held independently. Designed so the detent spring is in the same position as it would be with the plug in the transfer case.

Took it out four wheelin in the snow/ice. I don't get to give the transfer case much love where we are in the burbs south of the city, so any opportunity is one I will take.

Do 10B fronts take 10B rear gear sets? Been idly looking for some 4.88's for my K20 and no one seems to cll out specifically the 10B front.
Yes they are the same as a rear gear set, cover and gasket shape is different though than a 10b rear.

I remember when I could keep an operating table that clean and organized. I'm just glad to keep up with the 20 or so kids in the class now and keep them from killing one another with horseplay and tools...
