Scored a replacement hood for the dually. Straight and factory orange to match! 150. Need to clean and polish. Will probably paint the underside and install the reinforcement strips before getting it on the truck.

Cleaned in and around the wheel wells/undercarriage. Brushed, wiped, applied Super Clean, wiped again, and then hit them with Chemical Guys Bare Bones spray.

Then spent about 15 minutes "detailing" some of the drivers side of the engine bay.

Trying to spiff it up a touch more than normal for truck night themed cars show on Saturday here in Modlothian. Central Car Club Council of VA is putting it on. Forecast says rain that day, so it might get postponed.

Drove to Bedford VA to the D-Day Memorial since tomorrow is June 6. The little town of Bedford suffered the highest per-capita losses on D-Day - 20 young men. Great memorial.

Beautiful drive, about 50 miles round trip. Blazer did great.

What?!!! You guys weren't afraid to drive a vehicle that far with out an LS swap?!!! That's just crazy!Everyone knows they'll break down as soon as you get on the highway!
It is crazy, I know.
Trusting an old truck with the young lives of the kids.
But the dang'd old truck is such a loyal thing.

It was having starter issues where it would only crank the engine over maybe one and a half times before the solenoid would stop.
Once we got fuel in the carb, the big block would just start right up even with the truncated starter cycle.
I did make sure there was another functional starter sent with them.
Gotta love those factory mini starters from the junkyard.

Yesterday, Max swapped the backup starter into the truck and it functions like a champ.

Recently I put some vinyl/plastic/rubber protectant-treatment on the tops of my door cards hoping to bring some life back. It put a little sheen on, but they are extremely sun faded. I think I definitely need to dye or paint them again. I am fairly certain these door cards are original to the truck. I looked on line and found several brands/products. I searched on this forum as well and read a few things.

I am hoping you all could recommend something that you may have used that worked well. And, if anyone has done this to their red to burgundy range interior please let me know some details.
