I'm just guessing but, I think it jumps like that because of the mechanical pump. An electric pump would be a smoother more constant pressure. If that makes sense.

After swapping pumps it runs a smooth 9 psi but still no fuel in the filter and no squirts like if its pumping it.

9 psi seems too high for carburetor engine. Usually see gauge and regulator plumbed after the filter. Engine runs?

Its in and runs! Would have been sooner if the weather had been nicer this week. Cab floor is all wet had to change a heater hose dont think its that. I think ill be changing my heater core. Cant win lol. We lost power today too so I thought id fire up the jenny since it dont run much. That didnt go well either. Just glad I seen all the smoke in time. After you check the oil good idea to get the cap on good and tight I guess.

Are you sure that the filter is empty and not totally full? Install your guage between the filter and carburetor and report the results

I fired it up and it didn't really get any fuller. It's a new pump too.

The hose on your lower filter has a crack forming. Imported junk that they sell us now. Maybe this whole Ronia thing will bring back more manufacturing to this country.

Well this was actually last weekend but i been havin phone issues so i never got it posted. Started out by noticing no fuel in my filter with the truck runnin so i bought another fuel pump. I added a pressure gauge in line with my old pump and holy cow was it wildly erratic! So i commenced to putting on a new pump and inspecting the push rod. I messed up the plate gasket and didnt have another so i improvised! Got everythin all back together and it runs 9psi but still no fuel in the filter and seems to not pump it up there. Im lost because i drive it daily this way with no issue, hows that possible?!
