Well the innerds of the new rear look good. Im happy. A few differences stood out to me, the new rears components are a bit smaller.

Looks like you scored with a nice aftermarket unit. It sure ain't a gov-loc.
Was expecting a gov bomb, when he popped the cover and i saw springs i got excited! Told me it was from a 90' k5 blazer wich apparently would be a v1500 blazer???? Brakes look ****** and im not sure if it has HD brakes or not but...

Looks like an Auburn no?
Older model no clutch packs. non rebuildable. Spiders act like the clutch. I dunno if it needs posi additive.

Auburn is usually like an Eaton ... clone. And uses their parts when they can.
I thought Eaton at first. But I dunno I just figured if the owner didn’t mention it they didn’t make the dive for the Eaton. Maybe! Heopefully!

Guy i bought it from opened the cover and showed it to me, he didnt say anything special about it. But im pretty sure its aftermarket, but the gear wear looks good so im happy
