With the addition of greasable's in the rear all my suspension points will be able to be lubed.

Since Ive tore apart my 33yo 56'ers Ive also noticed how wore out the spring pad inserts can get (usually on the ends of the springs to help the spring below it slide).

Ill be replacing those as well....might be something else you want to look into.

Google: leaf spring pad inserts.

That link is some damn good info. And ran the teflon the whole length instead of just end pads huh? To bad we have to delete that link though cuz the guy included his blood from where he cut himself trimming the teflon. :sad72:

What blood? I just see some ketchup that dripped off the burger he had to be eating while fabricating... ;)

Finally got around to replacing my sticking caliper and ruined rotor. Still low on brake pressure though. Going for the MC this weekend.

Where did you get the pads from? They are hard to find and $$. Local dealer wants $16ea !! Summit has them for $5.70, but still $$....

I never heard of Teflon pads? They go on the back of the brake pads?

Nah, they go between the leaf springs for noise reduction, and so the springs can slide on each other easier. Factory spring packs have them (or something similar, in any case).

They fit into a little hole at the end of the leaf springs:

i got the pads from jackit.com they are a 4x4 shop in salt lake city 2 bucks a peice check them out they have a couple styles in stock. they are good to deal with i buy alot from them.

i have rough country rear springs they use a round pad with a single stud. they sent me rectangle pads with dual studs.

they did not want to pay return shipping on them so i got to keep them and they are sending me the rough country ones for no charge.

and the rectangle dual stud ones are correct for my skyjacker front springs so it works for me.
