I replaced my 20x12s and 33s, with 15x12 with 35s. Much better ride and much, much lighter. Feels like I have suspension now, and feels like I gained some HP.

Replaced the heater core in my burb.

Funny part is the burb was for sale and being test driven by a buyer who was all in and ready to take it home.. until we got back to the house and we see drip..drip..drip..drip from the passenger fender corner.

We identified coolant coming from the heater core and he walked. I was going to sell it and try to find a decent K20 but have just decided to keep the burb until I actually NEED a truck bed. Funny how sometimes it's the car that won't let go of the owner haha

Sounds like the guy had no gumption if he gave it up over a heater core leak. Probably a good thing it's staying with you, LOL!

Got a bunch of stuff done this week. Truck came out of shop Thursday for drive line and differential repair. Spider gears were replaced as were the yolk pinion seal and the u-joints. Also, one of the ball-joint sockets had separated itself from the control arm and the shop tack welded it back in place. Truck has a much smoother ride now. No more butt vibrator!

Today, I bought new rubber. Put on Pathfinder S A/T. They look great! They should do well this winter.

I've got some more work coming in October when I take off from work. Plan to rebuild TBI, replace all brakes, new front wheel bearings, intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets.

BTW, does my truck look like it's lowered or is that the stock stance?

Well, gotta remember how old it is too springs are not new, so it has to be lower than the day it rolled off the production line, but it sits too high to have been lowered..

Nice! I like the looks of it both ways but no doubt it drives better with the smaller wheels :)

Still learning aluminum polishing. Working on the valve covers on the 5.3 LS. Initially I started polishing and saw plenty of casting defects/imperfections. Yesterday I'd thrown down the towel and said screw it paint em or replace em.

They are pretty thick, so today I hit the rough spots with 80 grit on the dremel. We'll see how it turns out. Below is a pic with the lines I'm talking about, bit hard to see but there is one just above what looks to be a s/n or batch #. I think it's going to work out with time and patience.

Bad part is what to do with the studs if I relocate the coil packs. Chop/cut n polish is an option.....but a lot of work.
