I don't know about y'all, but I just got my package in from LMC... Time to yank the cluster on the ol' girl and replace the circuitry. My gauges keep doing flaky things and I have reason to believe it's the old one delaminating and having the traces bounce off each other.

Also got new door hinge springs that I'll try and put in this weekend as well.

Cool. I jelli. :)

Just this...

Here is what I have done with my truck in the past few weeks:

-Installed new door seals
-Installed new window seals and anti-rattle seals
-Did the pex trick on the stricker (this really works, I was amazed)
-Installed new ball joints in the front axle, also did new u-joints and new brake pads while it was all apart.
-Installed a new chrome step bumper (the one from LMC)
-Installed a Class V B&W receiver hitch
-Pulled running boards off the truck
-pulled the old trim and installed new body trim (looks great)
-Put in a new Pioneer CD player since old radio was making strange noises (popping all the time)

Thats all for now, just about have it where I want it. Got a bearing kit for a semi floating 14 bolt rear end as well. Just need to rebuild the new rear axle and install, there is no hurry so probalby rebuild over the winter and install next year.

Man I'm jealous, I am really hurting in the door/window seal dept for my driver's door. Cool junkyard parts pic. I am itching to get to my local yard and see what's laying around.

The door seals and window seals were pretty easy, I would say it take anywhere from 20-40 min per side on the door seals (have to remove a lot of trim and then reinstall). The window seals took around 2 hours each side, but that made a huge difference - its like a different truck now. The 2nd side goes faster, I had problems with a rusted screw but I bet I did the 2nd side in almost half the time.

I'll have to suffer with the leaks through the winter and get a set in the spring at tax time. Unless I can find a decent set at the scrap yard.

I haven’t been able to do much to the K20 since I brought it home, but have been able to assess what work is going to be needed to get it road worthy.

The first problem at hand is the rusted out battery tray, when I got the truck, the battery was sitting sideways in the fender well kind of leaning towards the grill so the battery acid could leak out, the battery tray was toast, so I took what I could salvage and sand blasted it, it’s now ready for paint, my next step is to order all the other needed parts from LMC (unless I find someplace cheaper)

The next problem I have is a bad leaky radiator:

I Did pick up a good used 4 row radiator for it but don’t have any of the hardware to mount it:

Once I figure out what hardware I need, I’ll get that installed in the truck.
