pulled the plastic cover of my drivers side tank. found about 10lbs of dirt and this, pretty sure it won't hold fuel....

Uhh yeah, I think you might need a new tank. Kinda common to get rocks up in the plastic protectors too and they end up rubbing holes in tanks.

Installed an in cab control switch for my winch. Since I won't be taking up smoking, I decided to put the control toggle and the switch to arm it in the ashtray. Spaced off the light to show is armed... but I'll add one soon. I tried the toggle mounted up and down, but the ashtray would close when I pushed it up, so I turned the switch 1/4 turn, used the face plate of the controller and now the toggle works side to side.

That turned out nice !!! Great idea to hide it.

Installed a power steering cooler and filter. Easy setup with the Hayden kit.

Is that a factory rear sway bar? Do you have any better pics of how it is mounted?

Yea its factory. I dont have any pics right now, but I can try to get some later after work if you'd like. Keep in mind its on a dually setup if it makes any difference. Keep an eye out in the suspension section - I'll make a new thread about it.

You're doing fine. Assembling a motor is nothing to get in a hurry about or try to set your record best about. The one extra night after it took to put it together RIGHT could be the difference in a 50,000 mile motor or a 300,000 mile motor. NEVER RUSH. The smallest of detail can be missed and cause a big problem.

Catalogued and photographed every bolt from the teardown on my 87'. Going to be sending all the hardware off to be re-plated so it'll look like new, and they process in batches, so I wanted to be sure I knew what went where. :D

I keep big plastic jars full of bolts that I pull off of these trucks. It has always served me well. You always need a missing bolt or 2
