Got the 203 separated from the TH350. Cleaned up a little bit. My pressure washer is think is taking a crap. It would work for a few seconds like it should, then no pressure. It kept doing that. So that's another problem for later...
Sounds like the unloader valve pull it clean it,lubricate it put it back. Another dirty trick that works sometimes is make a short connector hose for the pressure washer 3 feet or so hold it up by the top bar pour 1/4 cup or so of dish soap in it,then hook up your garden hose. The dish soap will give the unloader lubrication temporarily..

The run stand can actually be put off kind of. If you bolt an automatic behind it,no converter needed, bolt on your starter set the whole mess on a sheet of plywood and strap it down, you can start and run it on the ground. Not as nice as a run stand, but if time is an issue.

This past week, I have been working on designing and milling a spacer to go between my TH400 and np208 since I couldn't find a new TH400 with the shorter length output shaft needed for my transfer case. The spline on my new transmission did not extend far enough down the output shaft to allow me to cut off 1.5 inches, so I created a custom spacer to fill the gap instead.

It's just a life long doing this stuff since late 1970s.Plus since cars were my passion I always picked automotive jobs, whether it was a restoration shop,a dealership, machine shop, service dept., junkyard, etc. so I had lots of different types of exposures and exposure to different people, budgets, and methods. I'm sure you know tons of thing's an average guy would never know about your profession. As does a barber,a roofer probably anyone who's good at thier chosen profession. But thank you.

Those shafts are difficult to find.
After a long search I found a good used one at Novak.

Well I think I might know the problem with my pressure washer. After reading what was said to me here, and doing some research. My dumba$$ started the washer without the water running to it. I'm going to go hook it up turn the water on first, than start it, and see if that was the problem. Might pull out the filters and see if they are clogged up or have anything in them first. Thanks for all the info.

I've always turned my water on first, sometimes I still get some cavitation or whatever, but it seems to work itself out.

I got a little shop time before work... sandblasted the transfer case bracket. And got it powder coated. Started cleaning up the shifter. I didn't know Hurst made them... kind of cool. Also sandblasted and powder coated some rear spring shackles for a buddies 1980 shortbed.

I've done them on an engine stand with the rad ratchet strapped to a tool cart.

Wish I had seen this conversation when I needed to test my British project - could have saved me a lot of labor in terms of repulling and reinstalling the engine/trans assembly if I had realized I could strap it down to something solid and test it first. Instead I found out the transmission needed rebuilding the hard way.....
