Mine Burban spends 75% of its life on paved surfaces but i do get it out off the beaten path and i see nowhere to ask or to start off road questions and answers..

Thanks

Maybe we can talk Shagster into 2 new categories under the General Discussion category with Detailing, Garage and Other Vehicles to add Off-Roading and Street Scene On-Roading since you can't leave the lowered truck guys out.

Yeah I hate to see trucks with the BIGGEST street tire you can find on earth, and maximum lift, just to tool around town at 6 mpg..

Was there an offroad question that prompted this thread??

No put there are things that can only be taught and learned banging a truck around a bit...You have a point you put a lift on it that you park an escort under and then you wax your undercarriage..wtf..?

Dont misunderstand i love Chub's but half the fun is going where no Hummer dares go,these are trail rigs (ok MINES not) but there is a lot
of info to be learned off road its great do to with good people and this
is a great forum...who do i need to see about this.

Many of the trucks i have seen with mud on em makes me want to go out and sling some goo:grd::grd::grd::grd:

I've already seen the suggestion and passed it on to Shaggy, our fearless Admin/Owner of the site. He's pretty easy to get what we want out of him, so it'll likley happen. The only thing that could go wrong, and I don't see that happening, is he doesn't want to create categories that sit untouched or get little to no activity, so if the categories are made, be sure to use them. That doesn't mean to go with a topic that's not related to the category.
Honestly, I don't think it'll be a problem getting usage out of Off Roading and On-Roading Street categories.

No way HR-i bought what i bought largely from lesson id learned from how easy it is to break things...
Tires....everyone has them which works best where
shocks....the stiffest isnt always the best
winchs..which for Burbans are to pull other people out
just like an unnamed mag pics of the worst you've been stuck
Whats the weirdest thing you ever ran across wheeling
Of course all trucks REALLY going off road need prep and need some things to make sure you get back
Never ever wheel alone
Best pic contest taken while wheelin'
and i could go on and on anybody who does it is the same way

Just an update to your request Bob. Shaggy has responded, asked a few questions, Mods have expressed Off-Road is a certain hit, but On-Road maybe not so much. I have a feeling next time Shaggy gets on, the Off-Road Category will exist in the General Discussion.
For the On Roaders, most of their conversation will fit in lowered suspension, so they're not being left out either.

And Bob, I am holding you accountable to stick around and make sure that category works. Don't be one of these newbs that come in hang out for a week then get bored and bail. I'll be sending Pops or Old77 to take care of bidness if you do. :waytogo:

Many wheelers have this body style because its the last body style in GM you can get a straight front axle. Also, parts are plentiful so its OK to have to much fun and tear them up a bit, and cheap to put them back together.
