your money would be better spent on something more efficient and powerful. that's 50+ year old technology, a Vortec 350 will walk all over it, and you won't have to fight a collector for one of the "ultra rare" L31s.

World products actually started making new 409 blocks with the potential to be stroked to 632 cid. I wouldn`t mind having one of those monsters.

not much of a generator they only put out 35 amps

ya but, how many people do 409s compared to vortecs??
