TV & Throttle bracket with 1406 carb

sorry if the title doesn't exactly match what I'm trying to figure out but I need help figuring this out, I just had to re tune and time my engine because my carb was clogged, anyways its fixed now because I've got a guy who is an absolute genius with this stuff, he said that I'm not getting all of my all the acceleration I can, like literally I push the gas pedal to the floor and its not opening the throttle fully so he said that i might need a new throttle bracket. please help

Easiest way to check is to have someone push the pedal to the floor and hold it. Then go to the throttle lever on the carb and see if it will move any further. If it does, I don't see how changing a bracket would help. You need more travel in the pedal arm. I would try bending the pedal arm more, after making sure you don't have a floor mat wadded up under it blocking full travel.

To add to the above if the geometry is not correct on the TV arm on the carburetor,if you are running a 700r4 transmission,you will shorten it's life sometimes very drastically.
