Power Steering Pump Bracket

Pretty new to SBC 350 and trying to correct my power steering pump bracket. The truck is an '84, but I'm fairly certain the engine is a '78 or '79? Haven't gotten all the way back to the back to read the stamp. My power steering bracket appears to have been attached to some other equipment that is no longer there, perhaps something smog related. When I look for a new one, such as the ICT Billet Power Steering Bracket - it seems as if they attach differently than my current setup. On mine the adjuster is underneath and the pictures of the ICT seem to attach to a different hole on the block than my current one. Their pictures also show a much longer belt than mine.

I'm under the impression I have a Saginaw style and a long water pump. Let me know if I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely.

The zip ties have helped because without them I was having to tighten it about once a week when the power steering would go. Now the power steering is fine, but there's certainly a whine as I'm sure it's not lined up properly.

I've attached some pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That was probably where your A/C was. You may need to cobble up something coming off the front manifold stud on number 1 cyl.
R4 style more than likely:

Sad Sack beat me to it.

A/C compressor is what is missing. And, more importantly a few brackets that tie things together.

You see the bracket bolted to the head on @legopnuematic pic you need to cut a new bracket like that bracket,except a triangular bracket thst drops down it bolts to the head and the power steering bracket instead of goin up to meet the AC bracket. It's easy to picture if you take a piece of cardboard push it up against the head make sure it is low enough to bolt to the power steering bracket. You'll see it. Just hold a piece of card board back there.

OK that's a huge help @legopnuematic @Sad Sack @Ricko1966 - now I know where I need to start looking. I may hit the junk yards to see if I can find anything, but cutting that triangle bracket might be the right choice.

Okay I said cut a triangle,said that because that is the least work and I think it looks good. Here is a bracket like I was speaking of,just not a triangle the triangle would hit all the bolt holes in the head

Mine had one like this when I got it. AC compressor was long gone. Might be able to find one on Ebay or a junkyard

I was missing that piece too when I was assembling my truck. I was able to order a billet power steering bracket kit online that replaces the factory pieces. This bracket only bolted to the block/head and did not use the exhaust manifold bolt. It worked out nicely since I went with headers.

Just wanted to update you guys with my solution. I ended up finding a part number (#14103211) and found somebody selling the ac bracket online (New Boyz Squarebody Rescue) that was already cut for the headers. Slapped some paint on it and put it in over the weekend. Replacing the whole setup with something slimmer is in the future, but until then this bracket was what I was missing and has totally removed the whine from the power steering pump since it was a good 2-3 inches off from where it should've been.

Anyways, thanks for the help and maybe this will help somebody in the future!
