Without going out and looking, you need the plate with the big eye bolt on it, right? The regular latches use the plate with the big peg... unless I'm remembering it the wrong way. I *might* have an extra, I'll have to dig around and see.

I'd let you have mine, but I converted it to open the parachute on the K1500. Hard to slow these fast squares down sometime at the end of the 1/4 mile. 
Dammit, had I thought about someone wanted to do that conversion, I coulda robbed that set up off the 81 I scrapped a few months back.

is the 81 hood the same I bolt latch? I am still looking. LMC truck has the part grayed out so i guess i cant but it for a 73-79.

It's '77-'80 only. I must not have one because I can't find one anywhere. I have the style you don't need, lol.
