My visor needed a lot of work. The lenses are all cracked and the sockets are wore out. I'm sure it looked like a Christmas tree going down the road.....lights blinking and all.

Anyway, obviously I couldn't find the actual rebuild kit from Lund (not that I'd pay $50 for it. So I looked for some cheap wired bulb sockets (T10) on Ebay. I found 10 for $7 on ebay. This is somone in the US so I wouldn't have to wait 6 weeks for it to come from China.

Anyway, I wollered out the holes a bit so they would fit snug. Then I laid the fiberglass resin to it pretty thick on the backside. I used speaker wire to rewire the whole thing. Took about 2 hours and a few beers. I made all the wiring as short as I could so I wouldn't have to secure the wire to the visor.

Also, doing it this way, the socket sits a little further back so you can put a longer bulb in. I've got some LED's in mine and it looks great.

I'll get some pics up when I find a data cable for my phone.

SHHH!....BE VERY VERY QUIET.....Maybe HotRod won't see this one LOL.

Threw on some of those clear lenses off ebay along with some blue LED's. I'm going to either order some amber LED's or just put some amber tape on them. Probably LED's because I've only got 2 white LED's left (Jtech on amazon....cheap for a bunch). Will post a pic when it's completed.
