Not sure if this is the right spot for this post. But it would seem like an engine performance issue.

I just finished doing the spark plugs and wires on my 91 suburban and now it runs like crap. I did find that I’ve broke the vacuum line going to the vacuum ball reservoir because it is incredibly brittle. And if I plug the broken line with my finger, it does run smoother but still misses just a little bit.

Are there any other ones I need to check that would be inherently an issue that I might’ve snagged? And what other vacuum lines connect to this splitter section by the firewall? Pics of where I’m talking

Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated.

Extra question: If I gapped all but 1 out of 8 plugs to 0.035 and the other is 0.040-43 would that cause a missing feeling?

I'd make sure you got all the plug wires in the correct order. That is the most common cause of my car runs worse after I changed plugs or wires. 18436572 for some reason 5 and 7 get crossed commonly..

I would get a spray bottle willed with water or a can of carburetor cleaner, if you have a fire extinguisher handy, and spray the vacuum connections and listen for a change in the sound of the engine. This will help you locate it if it's there.

Another vote for checking that the plug wires are on right, there is this guy I know, who believed he was the smartest guy in the room with numerous years as a technician, who installed them in the wrong rotation, the engine will run, poorly but will run........:emotions33:

On my 91 that splitter you're talking about has a line to cruise control, to the round ball you're talking about, a white hard plastic line that disappears into the firewall right above the passenger side valve cover, and one that runs down to the top of the intake behind the throttle body. No AC on this unit if it matters. Not sure that's going to answer any of your questions though.

Well I think it’s a tie between the broken vacuum line and bad plug wires even though they were new. I’ve got the wires coming today and the line coming tomorrow. It was running perfect before the wire swap so hopefully I’m not an idiot haha
