Truck starts when motor is cool, when warm it’s hit or miss.

Have had this problem with the truck for about a year and a half now. Truck will start everytime when the motor is cold. Drive it to work, it sits for 8 hours and it’ll start back up perfect. If I stop and need it to start back up (like at a gas station or store) it typically wont start. The only thing that sometimes gets it to work is if I crank the steering wheel one way or another it will start to turnover and fire up.

Lights come on, doesn’t try to turn over when warm, doesn’t click. Replaced neutral safety switch in January and thought it fixed the issue until it left me stranded again.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Tapping the starter case while someone turn the ignition key to start. And if HEI try another ignition module. Just throwing this out there.

You might start with year/make/model/engine...
