Rear driveshaft will be a little short with the 205 but the front should be the same. What trans are you running TH350? EDIT I see in your sig TH350, if you can find a 205 just try to get the rear d-shaft to go with it. The trans to t-case adapter/mount will be different too, as well as shifter.

What popping? Are you saying your original NP203 is bad cuz it pops, but this used one you acquired pops too? Is it possible the popping isn't from the Tcase and might be something else like maybe the CV in the front dshaft??

While on this subject, so you're 76 will be OEM 12 bolt rear axle correct??? I got that driveshaft ouf of the 80 GMC with the NP205/Th350 that has a 12 bolt. The truck I intend to use the NP205 in currently has a 10 bolt rear end. Either of you know the dshaft difference in the 10 bolt axle vs 12 bolt axle?

In the rare event that I don't use that NP205/TH350 rear dshaft out of the 80 GMC K10, I might have one available if you do find an NP205 for yours.

The 10 bolt pinion may be a very little bit longer, I dont know for sure but it should fit.

your exactly right it was the front driveshaft hitting on the crossmember due to the transfercase mounts being wore out...
So now i got a spare 203
But my front pinion bearing gave out yesterday

DOH !!! That sucks about the pinion bearing. But, sounds like you get that and a new Tcase mount, you'll be back in bidness !!!:grd:

BTW, where is old house at? Sometimes members are passing thru other cities and states, so sometimes, it's not far away if others know city and state. Wasn't long ago, a guy didn't sell a truck and scrapped it. Had he had his city and state listed, I have a feeling it would have been sold on the forum, a good possibility anyway.
