Before I snag these off eBay, will they even fit with long tube headers? Thanks

Are those a one size fits all, or are they application specific? I don't recall having ever seen anything concerning the geometry between those, and the inspection cover.

My truck has them. I believe they are specific for 700r4 equipped trucks but I could be wrong. I'm not sure if they will fit with long tubes as I still have the stock manifolds. However, I will say there are spots that they come pretty damn close to things even with my manifolds and the pipes pretty well tucked up around things.

Not sure. It appears as though the holes on one end are elongated, probably because the motor mounts have some float as well.

I know the inspection cover has threaded holes for support arms.

Did your cucv come with them?

The other support rod I’m missing is the one that goes from the two threaded holes on the np208 passenger side to the bell housing, I believe.

Maybe I’ll wait till the end and run a string to see if there is clearance. Thanks

I believe mine is complete but I cant recall enough to say for sure, and this is the only truck I've had that has these. I would normally be more then happy to go out and snap some pictures for you, but my truck is still with the transmission shop getting its rebuild and I haven't seen it for about 3 weeks now :banghead:

I had a set on my '80 K10 with 454 (long tubes) and a th400 with no issues. I think they may be generic as I have an unknown origin set on my 4 spd (which never used them).

Might pick them up. I only need the rods, not the plates. How important is the other brace for the np208?

I drive pretty easy, but truck was/will be off road a lot(again, mildly)

The transfer case brace is substantial, at least enough that it is likely needed. I know some of those rods are different depending on the transfer case/trans combo and have to match if pulling one from a parts vehicle.

I have an np208/th400 combo. I’ll make that rod the priority for now. It’s the original combo to the truck.

Only drivetrain parts that aren’t original to the vehicle were the 327 I pulled and someone swapped the 4.56 carriers/gears to 3.73s in the 14ff/d60.

Yeah, the bellhousing to tcase bar varies in length based on trans/tcase combo.

Mine has none of the supports. In fact, one of the inspection cover bolt bosses is used to secure the trans lines when they cross over to the drivers side. I didn't see any of the engine side brackets either. That may have something to do with the clearances available with the diesel engine. The strut that runs from the t-case to the bellhousing bolt, if it was ever there, has been gone a long time judging by the condition of the threads where it mounts to the t-case. This may be a M1008 thing, I don't know. I do know, that those rods were on the 700r4,and the th350 equipped light duty trucks, as I've had examples of both.

Hmm, I guess they were likely never there. I’ll revisit looking for one after my exhaust routing is finalized.

Not sure on your truck, but my K20 was missing them when I bought it and after a couple of years of plowing snow (not commercially, just a couple of properties I own), I broke the bellhousing on my TH400. The transmission shop said it was because the rods were missing. They found some to put back on the truck when they replaced the transmission.
