I looked at the salvage yard and found the right era tow hooks. They looked like a pain to take off with no wheels on the truck. These seemed beefier.

No,not planning a breakdown.Actually I am more excited about the possibility to use a bumper jack on the front now.

I feel like GM got the square body tow hooks wrong. They seem more suited to tie the truck down than pull anything.

I don’t know about you guys/gals,but most times,I pull out people in reverse.

if the person stuck is below your vehicle elevation wise i could see it being better to pull in drive. only because force would let your rear tires grip the best. but then your front end, too, could benefit. not sure which is better. one has more directional control i guess

thats the thing, you never plan for breakdowns unless you drive a ford.

you know what they say about ford, don't ya?
fix it again, tony. laughs
I'm pretty sure that saying is for FIAT.

Found on road dead.

F***ed over rebuilt dodge.

F***ed on race day.

For only rectal description.

I'm sure we could go on.

Correct, 81 and up used a different style.

On a side note, any self respecting 4x4 should have tow hooks.
