TBI throttle return spring tension

Has anyone tried to reduce the throttle return spring tension on a 5.7 throttle body? seems kind overly stiff. Anyone just remove those springs and use regular springs like on a carb?

It works, sometimes comes off though/ gets stuck/jammed… but I think brothers trucks or even edelbrock sells the right springs.
